A popular beach activity in Brasil, Frescobol is a simple beach paddle ball game.
Crafted from select grade beechwood, these bats are built to last and sealed for added protection in a clear varnish. Each bat has a premium vegan leather grip in black for comfort. These are genuine frescobol bats not cheap bats made from MDF or cheap plywood.
Each set comes with two premium frescobol bats and a 56mm 'slow' rated ball so it will not have excessive bounce. Your chosen bat design will be custom printed to order, usually within one day of order placement.
As an optional extra, our heavy duty 20oz canvas zip up frescobol shoulder bag with internal black lining is available for purchase separately.
Made from natural materials, minor variation in timber tone may occur.

Frescobol is a popular beach paddleball sport that originated in Brazil in the 1940s, created by Lian Pontes de Carvalho in Rio de Janeiro, where it quickly became a favourite pastime among beachgoers. Frescobol is deeply embedded in Brazilian culture, particularly in Rio's famous beaches like Copacabana and Ipanema.
The main goal is to keep the ball in the air as long as possible, emphasizing cooperation over competition. Unlike tennis or badminton, there is no net or formal court boundaries, making it a flexible and accessible game for players of all ages and skill levels.
Playing frescobol is an excellent workout, enhancing hand-eye coordination, reflexes, and cardiovascular fitness. Frescobol's blend of physical activity, social interaction, and cultural heritage makes it a unique and enjoyable sport.
